6 firms listed for Crawley, Horley and East Grinstead · details as published on their sites, September 2026.
Crawley, under Crawley Borough Council, grew up as a post-war new town immediately north of Gatwick Airport, whose North and South Terminals and surrounding logistics, cargo and aviation-services operations are among the area’s largest employers. Manor Royal, on the town’s eastern side, is the biggest business park in the Gatwick Diamond area, covering roughly 540 acres and run as the country’s largest industrial Business Improvement District, with businesses ranging from aircraft simulation to distribution and food production.
East Grinstead, to the north-east, is a separate market town under Mid Sussex District Council and is home to the Queen Victoria Hospital, a specialist NHS burns and reconstructive surgery centre rather than a general hospital. Three Bridges, in south Crawley, is the area’s main railway interchange, and the M23 motorway feeds traffic to Gatwick and on towards the M25, making the town a practical base for covering both the airport fringe and East Grinstead.
Tips for Crawley (Gatwick, East Grinstead)
- Crawley Borough Council covers the new town itself; East Grinstead sits under the separate Mid Sussex District Council.
- Manor Royal Business District, east of the town centre, holds hundreds of businesses, so check the estate name when locating a client’s unit.
- Three Bridges station is the main rail interchange for Crawley and the closest station to much of Manor Royal.
- Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead is a specialist burns and plastic surgery unit, not a general A&E hospital.
